About

LTA Education has been supporting language teachers with practical, classroom-ready resources for over 30 years.

Founded in 1995, LTA Education was created to make language teaching easier for busy teachers. Today, we are building on that experience with an even stronger focus on helping teachers teach languages with confidence.

Designed with Teaching in Mind

We believe effective language resources should do more than introduce vocabulary or provide an activity. They should help teachers build students' knowledge and confidence through a clear and purposeful sequence of learning.

Wherever possible, resources within each LTA topic are designed to work together:

Introduce → Model → Practise → Play → Speak → Read

Teachers can choose individual resources to meet a particular classroom need or combine them to create a more structured teaching sequence.

From vocabulary charts and picture cards to games, conversation activities, mini readers and teacher guides, each resource has a clear purpose in helping students move from learning new language to understanding and using it with confidence.

Made for Primary Classrooms

We understand that primary language teachers need resources that are engaging for children, easy to use and realistic within a busy classroom.

Our resources combine clear visuals, age-appropriate language and practical learning activities that can be used again and again. They are designed to support explicit teaching while giving students plenty of opportunities to practise, play, speak and read in the target language.

Our growing range includes resources for French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian, Spanish and German, as well as cultural resources, language essentials, classroom resources and student rewards.

Meet Julie

Since January 2026, LTA Education has been owned and led by Julie, an experienced primary teacher, language educator and curriculum developer with extensive experience in classroom teaching and the development of curriculum and teaching resources.

Julie has taught French in primary schools and understands first-hand the challenges of teaching a language to young learners — particularly the need for clear modelling, repetition, visual support and plenty of opportunities for students to hear, practise and use new language.

Her curriculum experience includes working as a Curriculum Consultant for the Western Australian Department of Education and later as Curriculum Coordinator for the Australian Academy of Science's national Primary Connections program, where she was involved in developing award-winning, teaching and learning resources for Australian primary schools.

Julie now brings these areas of experience together at LTA Education. Her focus is on creating language resources that go beyond individual activities and instead help teachers build a clear, purposeful sequence of learning — from introducing and modelling new language through to practice, speaking and reading.

Every new LTA teaching resource is developed with a simple question in mind:

Will this genuinely help a teacher teach the lesson?

An Australian Education Business

LTA Education is a small Australian education business with a long history of supplying schools and teachers.

Our printed resources are designed, printed, laminated and prepared by us, giving us direct oversight of both the educational content and the quality of the finished resources.

More than 30 years after LTA Education began, our purpose remains simple:

To create useful, well-designed, curriculum-aligned resources that help primary teachers teach languages with confidence.
